The Goal of MINC
The Multilingual Internet Names Consortium Inc. (MINC) is a non-profit organization with the goal of multilingualisation of the Internet and information society beginning with multilingual Internet names, keywords, including but not exclusively the Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs).
In the area of IDNs, MINC is dedicated to providing coordination of every language and script in the world for deployment of IDNs. Meeting this goal through the coordination, maintenance, development and distribution of a IDN deployment toolkit, coordination tables, discussion forums, training courses, governance processes and other means, MINC relies on membership fees and public donations to run its projects.
The content on the IDNs is provided as is, free of charge for the empowerment and enfranchisement of the linguistic masses of the world who speak another language that is not DNS-enabled today.
How your donation will help
Our site is free from advertisements at the moment. Visitors are not charged to edit, read or use our content. We rely on your donations to fund our initiative.
MINC also requires funding to continue its pioneering role since 2000 in promoting the standardisation, implementation and deployment of IDNs.
In the past, since 1998, our members have invented IDNs and implemented working solutions of IDNs and spearheaded initiatives to accelerate the process of IDN standardisation and participated in the standardisation processes. Moreover, our members have taken IDN to places that do not have the awareness of what IDNs can do to help their language/script-enabling of their part of the Internet. Paypal
If you donate from outside the USA or Canada, please use an international money order or a check payable on a U.S. bank, to avoid collection costs. We recommend using Paypal as above whenever possible. Sending a foreign check (or any other draft drawn on a bank outside the U.S.) may involve processing fees exceeding $50.
International money orders payable in the U.S. are available in post offices in many countries, and will ensure your complete donation goes to MINC.
MINC has a BoA bank account in California USA that accepts money transfers.
