Membership Categories

                    Pursuant to the decision of the Interim Board based on the recommendations of the Membership committee on 7 Sep 2003, the following membership categories are now open for application.

Non profit organizations with financial difficulties can write to the MINC Chairman requesting an exemption from the joining fees while offering their support and services to assist MINC in its efforts and programs.

  • Please select the corresponding fees category  to your organization then go to www.paypal.com to pay for your membership fees. Please make your payment to the email address " Chairman at minc.org"  and then reference this paypal payment with your online application.
  •     

 

  • Liaison and Individual membership are non-voting
  • Individual membership has no membership fee payable at least for FY 2000.
    This fee structure will be reviewed by the membership committee.
  • No membership fee is applicable to Liaison Members and Individual Members. Government or government-affiliated organisations and their departments, non-profit organisations, etc are entitled to join as small or associate membership if they do not wish to come under the above categorisation system. Alternatively, they can use the above guidelines based on their annual budget or select the appropriate category they wish.

In addition to the Board of MINC and the Executive, MINC has a General Body of Members. The nature of the membership is as follows.

Membership of General Body

Full Membership in our organisation gives your company or organization the most direct access to information and decision making process on our organisation. As a Full Member, decisions affecting implementation and news about our organisation are at your disposal. You are an active participant in shaping future enhancements to our work and you financially support the existence and maintenance of the Web and FTP sites, where updates and changes are posted.

You become a member of and support the e-mail distribution lists, where preliminary discussions are held between internationalization leaders throughout the world. You will be able to participate in our range of Working Groups and contribute your suggestions and participate in the decision making process.

Full membership is divided into six categories upon annual sales.

Associate Membership is an invitation to corporations and other organizations that want to support our organisation publicly, but that do not wish nor need to participate as voting members. The Associate member representatives have full access to information and allow an organization to contribute to the ongoing work. Individuals can also attain Associate membership status if their involvement is substantial over and above those of in the Individual Membership category.

Individual Membership by unaffiliated individuals who are interested in the work of our organisation is also open. Individual Members include implementers, end-users, researchers, scholars, and students.

Our organisation has liaison relationships with certain other standards organizations and governments. This is the Liaison category of membership. Liaison membership is generally by invitation only.

Full Membership upon annual sales.

Individual Membership Free.

Liaison Member Free.

All membership comes with mailing list subscription and regular newsletter from our organisation and the ability to participation in the events and activities organised from time to time.
